1317 Bathroom Remodel: Design & Bid

In the new bathroom design, we have swapped the toilet and vanity, and located the shower head on the opposite wall to allow for a glass panel between the tub and the window.  We are removing the radiator and replacing it with a wall hung towel warmer, and we are reversing the door swing to visually open the space up even more.

The vanity we chose is a wall-hung unit in gray oak veneer.  The floor and shower enclosure will be brown porcelain tile from Daltile, polished on the floor and matte on the wall. We are exposing the brick wall behind the toilet, and painting the remaining walls a very light gray.

We bid the project out to three contractors that we found through Urban Referrals.
When chosing a contractor, price is not the only issue we consider.  We look for good communication skills, someone who can follow our drawings, and someone who is interested in building a relationship. The contractor that we hired, Capitol Home Remodeling, checked off all the boxes.
